Affirmations - A Powerful Healing Tool

For healing our body, we resort to medications, injections, nerve and vertebrae stimulation, massage and what not. Yet, do we muster our innate power to heal ourselves? Unfortunately, the answer is no.

Affirmations are a powerful way of sub conscious, conscious, and super conscious healing. The power of healing affirmations depends upon the awakening of our inner life force. To awaken this life force we need powerful affirmations. During affirmation or mental suggestion, the strong will of the healer arouses his life force that produces a potent effect.

The Hindu tantra states that all seed words and incantations have to be revived in the soul of the chanter, vitalized, and precisely intoned to get the desired results.

Everything we do is guided by our will. Even when we move a muscle, we are using our will. Without our will, we would cease to exist. When a man says, “It is God’s will” he is in fact tuning in to his own infinite wisdom and energizing his affirmation.

Affirmations can surface in many ways – as reason, imagination or autosuggestion. In a way, it all amounts to mental suggestion.

What do affirmations do?

Sound can have a harmonious effect on the nervous system. Soul inspiring and soul solacing sounds with chants along with deep will power and faith can have an electrifying effect on our nervous system. All that we need to do is awaken this life force within us to heal our body and mind.

How do you get started?

To get the maximum benefit from healing affirmations it is first necessary to physically relax and have a calm mind. To see a clear reflection of the moon in a lake, the water has to be still. Likewise, our mind and body should be still to clearly realize the power of affirmation. Brainwave entrainment is a gentle healing affirmation that stimulates your mind, body, and soul.

  • Sit cross-legged on the floor with your back straight and chin up. It is important that your spine should be straight. Alternatively, you can sit comfortably on a chair, feet on the floor and your hands resting lightly on your lap.

  • Keep your eyes closed and mentally transfix your gaze between the eyebrows. Sit still and invoke the power of silence. Just concentrate on relaxing your body.

  • It is important that none of your muscles should be tense. A good way is relax your feet first and then work your way up. Relax your calves, thighs, abdomen, hands, shoulders, chest, neck, and muscles of your jaws. Get a feel of being relaxed completely.

  • Breathe deeply and then exhale. Do this at least twenty times. You will feel a noticeable smoothening of your breath. This state is essential for relaxation.

  • Now breathe in your natural way. As you breathe, concentrate on the point between your eyebrows. Do not time your breath. Just observe your natural breath.

  • You will slowly feel as if you have gone into a trance. Now you are receptive to reap the full benefits of affirmations.
